Just a day after being named No. 1 in Class AAAAAA, Johns Creek was topped by No. 3 South Forsyth. South Forsyth swept the tri-match 2-1 over the Gladiators and 2-0 over North Forsyth. It was a memorable night as Kelli McCravy recorded her 2,000th career assist and teammate Tory Wright registered career dig number 1,000. South Forsyth is 4-0 in its area play and will play an area tri-match with Centennial and Alpharetta next Tuesday.

Johns Creek will take the court again this Thursday with the same slate of Centennial and Alpharetta. Walton dominated its matches on Tuesday, topping Milton (25-12, 25-6) and Marietta (25-4, 25-7). The Raiders travel to the Berkeley Prep Tourney this weekend with a chance to reclaim a top ranking.

Chattahoochee rolled past Alpharetta and Lambert in straight sets and will play Lovett and Whitefield Academy Thursday before dipping back into region play with North Forsyth and West Forsyth next Tuesday.

Sequoyah continues collecting wins and handled Creekview and Forsyth Central on Tuesday in straight sets. The Chiefs face region-rival Pope next Tuesday in an area match.

In Class AAAA, Marist topped South Atlanta 2-0 and No. 1 ranked Columbia 2-0 in a tri-match on Tuesday. The War Eagles' tough schedule has prepared them for Area play as they sit atop the standings after the early action.
