Buford (22-3, 10-0) completed the regular season undefeated in Region 8-7A, leading the standings by five games. With the region tournament approaching, the Wolves are still rolling.

Buford ended its dominant campaign with a senior night win over division rivals Dacula (18-7, 5-5) 58-48 on Tuesday. With the Wolves win, it marks 11 straight, the latest lost being coming against Tennessees Providence Christian, 62-48 on Dec. 30.

Buford head coach Wes Parker was ecstatic about the team's win Tuesday night.

It was a group effort where everyone who went into the game made an impact, Parker said.

The Wolves had a great second quarter, outscoring Dacula 17-9. The half ended with senior guard Brennan Wansley hitting a 3 pointer.

"That three-pointer gave us momentum," Parker said.

Dacula has found a lot of its success this year through size, often using on-ball screens to get its guards open, or to create space for the Falcons big men to get shots off the pick and roll. This was focused on in practice by Buford.

We prepped for, and stopped Daculas offensive sets well, Parker said. The ball screen defense got much better in the second half, which was key.

With the game being played on Bufords senior night, Parker went with a different lineup than typical, putting everyone in to play.

We put a huge premium on chemistry and togetherness, said Parker. "I really like where were at right now with cohesion, supporting one another.

The Wolves undefeated region record marks the team's first time accomplishing this feat since 2016 and the first time with Parker as the head coach.

We are very fortunate to get through the region undefeated, he said. "I am proud of the guys, it gives the team confidence winning in the region, very proud of this team, and the seniors leading it.
