Three-time champion Hebron Christian's girls basketball squad moved to 7-0 on the season with a commanding 63-24 victory against Class 3A defending-champion Cherokee Bluff in the opening game of the day at the third-annual Corky Kell & Dave Hunter Basketball Classic.
Senior guard Alanna Beckham led with 16 points while senior power forward Kobi Barnes scored 12 points, and freshman guard Saige Walker added 11 points for Hebron. Junior guard Michel Robbins added nine points, senior guard Nariah Nelson scored six points, junior Mia Huckaby tallied five points and sophomore power forward Taryn Dixon had two points.
Hebron will head to the Beach Ball Tournament in Myrtle Beach, SC Dec. 19, 20 and 22 before taking part in the She Got Game event at Lakepoint on January 2.

Cherokee Bluff 56, Lovett 54 (B)
Cherokee Bluff held Lovett to six fourth-quarter points anda rebound and put-back from senior Alex Blurton secured the victory forCherokee Bluff in the second game of the evening in the CK & DH BasketballClassic.
Cherokee Bluff trailed 15-14 after the first quarter, led27-24 at the half and trailed 48-42 entering the fourth quarter before rallyingto put the game away.
The Bears improved to 7-1 with the victory, which rightedthe ship after suffering the program’s season-first loss against Grayson Tuesday.Cherokee Bluff will play in the Lanierland Tournament Dec. 20-23. Lovett fellto 6-2 and will try to get back on track against South Gwinnett Saturday.
