The Clayton County School District has approved the rebuild of North Clayton High School at a cost of $246.1 million.
The cost will be funded through bond revenue.
Amenities at the new campus will include a new school building, athletic field, a golf course and facilities, an auditorium and various student areas.
“We have begun work, the site has been cleared, and…production has been scheduled,” CCPS Chief Capital Improvement Officer Ronick Joseph told Clayton News-Daily. “The new building is scheduled for July 2027.”
The futuristic-looking school resembles more of a college campus than a high school and the goal seems to be to advance each aspect of the school – academics, athletics and student life – for generations to come.
