GHSA flips coin to decide home teams for football quarterfinals in equally seeded matchups

The hosting programs between teams with the same seedings in the GHSA football playoffs have been decided by a coin-flip Monday morning.

The coin-flip, which landed on tails, decided that the lower part of the bracket in Classes 6A, 5A, 4A and Class A-Division II, will host the quarterfinal matchups between equally seeded teams.

The remaining classes -- 3A, 2A, A-Division I and Private -- feature teams seeded No. 1-32 with the higher-rated seed hosting.
