Girls Pre-Region Tournament Basketball Rankings

The final week of the regular season is here and some regions across the state have already begun region tournament play. These rankings will be updated prior to the GHSA State Basketball tournament which begins Feb. 22-23.

Brookwood tops the states highest class entering the final week of the regular season and leads North Forsyth, Norcross, Grayson and Cherokee in the top 5. River Ridge tops Class 6A and leads Lovejoy, Buford, Rome and Kell.

Woodward Academy is the team to beat in Class 5A ahead of Greenbrier, Forest Park, Warner Robins and Griffin. Luella leads Class 4A with Carver-Columbus, Baldwin, Jefferson and Marist chasing. In Class 3A, Lumpkin County remains on top and is ahead of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe, Cross Creek, GAC and East Jackson.

Fannin County is atop Class 2A with Elbert County, Rabun County, Dodge County and Northeast-Macon in the top 5. In Class A Private, Holy Innocents leads the way with St. Francis, Mt. Paran, Wesleyan and Hebron in the top 5 and Lake Oconee Academy tops Class A Public.
