Wilson, a 6-foot-10, 205-pound senior, played a key role in leading the Golden Bears to a 27-4 record and their first-ever state title this season.

The Carolina-bound star put up impressive numbers in his final high school campaign, notching theGeorgia high school basketball player of the year award, as well as a ticket to the McDonald's All-American Game, which will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on April 1. He averaged 21.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, 3.5 blocks, and 1.9 steals per game, concluding his prep career with 1,836 points and 1,168 rebounds.

Wilsons elite skill set, versatility, and leadership, both on and off the court, have set him apart as a standout player, placing him as the No. 1 prospect in the Peach State and No.6 nationwide, per 247Sports.

Representing Georgia as the states sole finalist, Wilson joins an elite group of nominees, which includes Cameron Boozer from Florida and Brayden Burries from California.

Boozer, a Duke commit and the reigning 2022-23 Gatorade National Player of the Year, led Columbus High School (Miami, FL) to its fourth consecutive Class 7A state championship. The 6-foot-10, 240-pound power forward averaged 22.6 points, 12.0 rebounds, 3.1 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.4 blocks over 30 games.

Hailing from the Golden State is Brayden Burries. The 5-star recruit powered Roosevelt High School (Los Angeles, CA) to a successful season, including titles in the CIF Southern Section, SoCal Regional, and State Open Division championships. The CIF State Open Division championship saw a record-breaking 44 points from the guard in their dominant victory (80-60) over Archbishop Riordan.

Buries was recently crowned McDonald's All-American and Californias Gatorade Player of the Year, making him the first recipient in Roosevelt history to win these prestigious honors.

With the 2025 Gatorade National Player of the Year set to be announced soon, Caleb Wilson could be the next Georgia native to take home this esteemed award, leaving a lasting mark on his storied career at Holy Innocents and setting the stage for whats to come in Chapel Hill and beyond.
