Week 4 Volleyball Rankings

In Class 6A, Alpharetta reclaimed No. 1 after extending its win-streak to 12-straight and Walton slid two spots to No. 3 after back-to-back losses to Pope and Cartersville. Buford remains undefeated within the state and moved up from No. 3 to No. 2 this week. Additionally, Harrison replaced Marietta in the poll and comes in at No. 10. Class 5A No. 1 Pope defeated No. 4 River Ridge 3-2 after falling 3-0 to Class 4A No. 4 Marist.

The Class 4A poll did not change and No. 1 Pace Academy is 9-3 after a pair of losses to Mater Dei and Calvary Christian that resulted in a 4-2 record against out-of-state teams this weekend. In Class 3A, Dawson County defeated Chestatee and Heritage-Catoosa and replaced Chestatee in the poll and debuts at No. 10. Top-ranked Oconee County is 14-5 and leads the Class 3A poll with an 11-game win-streak.

Class 2A experienced a massive shuffle with Ringgold jumping up to No. 4 and Burke County making its debut with Miller Grove in place of East Jackson and Jackson. There is a new No. 1 in Class A with Bremen moving up from No. 3 to No. 1. The Blue Devils have won 15-straight matches since a 2-0 loss to Central-Carroll in their season opener. Gordon Lee remains No. 2 and has a 10-2 overall record heading into Thursday’s matchup with No. 3 Model.

Class A-3A Private No. 1 ranked Lovett improved to 14-1 and defeated Westminster, St. Pius and Woodward Academy after dropping a match to Kentucky’s No. 1 ranked team Assumption.
