In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Alpharetta notched its 19th-straight victory since its loss to Cartersville and improved to 25-1 on the year. No. 2 ranked Buford fell 3-1 to Marist—resulting in the 13-2 Wolves’ first in-state loss of the season. Buford’s other loss came to Tennessee’s Brentwood and the Wolves will open up their region schedule Tuesday night against visiting Central Gwinnett. No. 3 Walton scored wins over Calhoun and Etowah to bounce back from its losses to Pope and Cartersville and North Forsyth improved to 15-2 overall. North Cobb moved up two spots to No. 5 after growing its win-streak to eight-straight matches and Etowah joined Norcross in falling one spot to No. 6 and No. 7, respectively.

The Class 5A poll did not shift this week despite plenty of intriguing results. No. 1 Pope fell in a 2-1 match to North Paulding and with a 19-5 overall record, the Greyhounds are still unbeaten within Class 5A this season. No. 2 Woodward Academy bounced back from a loss to Lovett with a sweep of Shiloh and will face Lakeside-DeKalb on Tuesday. No. 3 Sequoyah is 11-1 and has won eight-straight since its loss to Alpharetta.

Class 4A No. 1 Pace Academy is 12-5 and ranked No. 24 in the latest Maxpreps National poll. The Knights’ only in-state loss came to Woodward Academy on Aug. 26 and the team went 6-4 against its 10 out-of-state opponents in the two weeks since the loss to the War Eagles—falling to Mater Dei, Calvary Christian, Middle Tennessee Christian and Austin (AL). while defeating Oxford, Arab, Plant, Cardinal Mooney, Lourdes Academy and Boca Raton. Marist climbed from No. 4 to No. 2 in the Class 4A poll after recording its seventh-straight victory—that includes a 3-1 win over Buford. Additionally, Allatoona debuts at No. 7 following its win over No. 3 Cartersville. Union Grove debuts at No. 10 in Class 2A and Class A No. 1 Bremen grew its win-streak to 17-straight. In Class A-3A Private, No. 1 ranked Lovett improved to 16-1 and will return to action on Sept. 16 for a road trip to No. 8 Holy Innocents’.
