In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Wheeler went 5-3 over the last eight games against nationally-ranked out of state opponents—falling to teams from St. Louis, Fort Lauderdale and Phoenix and remaining undefeated against GHSA competition. No. 2 Grayson was defeated by Decatur 64-62 after leading the game by 16 points and did not fall in the poll with the Rams still wearing a 13-1 overall record. Dacula rose to No. 6 this week from No. 8 after improving to 13-1 and dominating Monroe Area and Duluth to capture the JaxCo Holiday Hoopfest Championship. The other change came with Walton replacing Campbell at No. 10 after defeating the Spartans 52-43 and growing its win-streak to seven-straight.

Class 5A shifted with Tri-Cities falling from No. 8 to No. 10 after dropping to 3-8 overall and losing its fourth-straight game—a 70-56 loss to Class 4A No. 1 ranked North Oconee 70-56. St. Pius moved up to No. 2 after improving to 14-0 overall. Baldwin took over No. 1 in Class 3A and Sandy Creek slid to No. 3 after falling to Cherokee (52-42) and Sprayberry (50-45) over the break. The Fighting Patriots will return to action Tuesday night with a trip to Mary Persons. The Class 3A poll also saw Monroe move up two spots to No. 8. In Class 2A, No. 3 Carver-Columbus scored a massive 70-54 win over Class A-3A Private No. 5 ranked North Cobb Christian and Thomson moved up to No. 6 after scoring a 55-53 win over No. 7 ranked Redan.

Class A Div. I shifted with Putnam County moving back to No. 1 following Rabun County’s 65-56 loss to Commerce. Additionally, 9-1 Washington County replaced Toombs County and debuts at No. 10. Chattahoochee County took over No. 1 in Class A Div. II after a 91-47 victory over Manchester and 9-1 Portal replaced Greene County at No. 9. In Class A-3A Private, Walker took over No. 1 after scoring a 68-58 win over Class 2A No. 3 Carver-Columbus that improved the Wolverines’ record to 12-1. Additionally, Hebron Christian moved up to No. 7 from No. 8 and Lovett moved up to No. 9 from No. 10.
