In Class AAAAAA, the Lambert boys clinched their perfect season and second state championship in program history with a 6-3 win at Lassiter to solidify its spot at No. 1. The runner-up Trojans finish the year at No. 2 and semifinalists North Gwinnett and Etowah round out the top 4. Pope at No. 6 and Walton at No. 9 gives Area 2 four teams in the final poll.

Class A-AAAAA's Allatoona boys earned their first state title with a 9-7 win over Westminster and tops the final poll. Westminster sits at No. 2 and Greater Atlanta Christian rounds out the top 3 after falling to Westminster 15-13 on April 19. Lovett finished the year at No. 4, despite a 14-13 loss to Buford in the playoffs. Bufords three losses in its final four games place the Wolves at No. 7.

In Class AAAAAA girls, Walton ended Miltons run of six state titles with a 9-8 victory in the finals to own No. 1. Milton comes in at No. 2 and owns a 14-9 regular season win over the top-ranked Raiders. Mill Creeks perfect season was snapped by Milton in the semifinals and the Hawks finish the year at No. 3, while semifinalist Lassiter completes the top 4.

In Class A-AAAAA girls, Blessed Trinity rallied and held off Kell 15-13 to win the state title and solidify its spot at No. 1. Kell settles in at No. 2 and Cambridge completes the top 3 after falling in a 13-12 overtime thriller to Kell in the semifinals. Rivals Westminster and Wesleyan finish the year No. 4 and No. 5, respectively. Starrs Mill took No. 6 after a 12-9 win over No. 7 Creekview in the quarterfinals.
