Lacrosse rankings: Top-ranked Lambert holds off Johns Creek

Top-ranked Lambert hosted No. 3 Johns Creek on Saturday but held off the Gladiators 9-8 to keep its spot atop the Class AAAAAA poll. No. 2 Centennial dominated Milton 23-8

and No. 4 Roswell handed Lassiter an 18-10 loss on Friday. Pope lost to Harrison 16-14 on Friday and fell to No. 8 and North Gwinnett took advantage of the Greyhounds loss and jumped to No. 5.

In Class A-AAAAA, Allatoona was clobbered by top-ranked Westminster 16-2 on Friday. The now 15-2 Buccaneers remain No. 3. Pace Academy replaced Benedictine at No. 8.

On the girls side, Lassiter impressed with its 16-10 win over rival Walton and jumped to No. 2. Chattahoochee sits at No. 3 and Walton slides down to No. 4. In Class A-AAAAA, River Ridge lost 13-5 to No. 5 Creekview and slid to No. 9.
