Bowdon’s Kaiden Prothro is flat-out hard to guard. The 6-foot-6, 210-pound UGA-bound tight end is rated as a four-star recruit and helped lead the team to the Class A-Division II semifinals against Clinch County.
He’s been a part of Bowdon’s three-straight state championship victories, but it was his performance in the quarterfinals which will etch his name into history.
Against Jenkins County, Prothro made five catches for 67 yards and four touchdowns to move to the top of the GHSA’s all-time touchdown receptions list. During his career, he has made 63 touchdown receptions which narrowly beats Rabun County’s Jaden Gibson (59, 2019-22). This season, he has 50 catches for 931 yards and 24 touchdowns.
