Following the firing of two-year Camden County head football coach Travis Roland earlier this week, the Wildcats wasted no time in announcing the appointment of Jon Lindsey as their next head football coach. Lindsey takes over the Camden County program, which missed the playoffs this season for the first time since 2017.

The following was stated in a release by Camden County Schools earlier today.

“Coach Lindsey brings extensive experience, a proven record of success, and a deep connection to the Camden County football tradition. A respected defensive mind, Coach Lindsey served as the Defensive Coordinator during the Wildcats’ state championship seasons in 2008 and 2009, and again when Camden advanced to the state semifinals in 2023. He also previously served as Head Coach/Athletic Director at Irwin County High School, leading the Indians to the state semifinals in 2013.”

Lindsey will now head into the offseason as he and the Wildcats prepare for his first season at the helm.
