The Georgia High School Association announced on Wednesday afternoon that they have lifted the postseason ban as well as a fair amount of suspensions of members of the football team.
Following the school's altercation with Gainesville in the second round of their playoff matchup against the Red Elephants back on Nov. 21.
On Wednesday, Brunswick appealed the punishment of 41 player suspensions and a $5,000 fine in front of the Georgia High School Association Board of Trustees as the punishments were reversed due to inconsistent rulings with previous GHSA matters, per the GHSA.
As a part of the lifted punishments, 39 of the 41 players suspended from Brunswick were reversed. The Pirates will still pay a fine that has not yet been determined. The two players ejected from the incident with Gainesville on Nov. 21 will serve a one-game suspension in the 2026 season.
Recently, Brunswick head football coach Garrett Grady stepped down from his position this week after spending four seasons as head coach of the Brunswick football program as well as nine seasons with the program in various roles.
