Rome has a strong history of football success dating back to the days of East and West Rome. The two schools combined for seven state championships, including East Rome’s four straight titles from 1982 to 1985, Before combining in 1992.

The Wolves’ job will be one of the biggest to open this year and will be highly sought after. The position is similar to other city-school jobs, such as Gainesville, with the potential to compete for a championship year in and year out. While the Wolves have not reached the heights of the 2016-17 seasons, they have competed at the top of their class every year since Reid took over and will continue to have the ability to win championships consistently.
