The top-ranked program in Class 3A will make a three-hour ride from Ellenwood, just outside of Atlanta, to Norman Park, just north of the Florida border, as Cedar Grove visits Class 7A No. 3 Colquitt County Friday for a game which will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 7 p.m.

The teams have played twice, and Colquitt County has won both contests. The Packers beat Cedar Grove 28-19 in 2021 under head coach Justin Rogers and last season, under Sean Calhoun, Colquitt won 39-17. John Adams has led Cedar Grove in each trip to Colquitt.

Neko Fann is 70-of-111 passing for 937 yards and 14 touchdowns for Colquitt and NyQuavion Carr leads receivers with 30 receptions for 489 yards and nine touchdowns. Zay Williams (3 TDs), Markese Wilson (1 TD) and Landen Thomas (1 TD) are other targets. On the ground, Colquitts Dayshawn Brown and Ramsey Dennis each have three touchdown runs.

Cedar Grove quarterback Elliott Colson, a Central Florida-commit, has 15 touchdown passes this season. The Saints have won four state championships since 2016 and lost out in the championship game to Sandy Creek last season.

The game highlights several contests which will be broadcast on television this week alongside GPBs Lowndes at Grayson game and the Drive for the GHSA State Title game between Marietta and Buford which will be carried on PeachtreeTV, both Friday.
