Class 2A has experienced a boom in talent over the past couple of years. With so many high-end players, a few are standing out above the rest.

Tristan Givens

One of the top edge rushers in the Class of 2026, Givens is an elite athlete. Standing 6-foot-4 and weighing 215 pounds, the Texas A&M commit dominates the line of scrimmage for Carver-Columbus. He has the ability to be one of the best players in the country at the next level and is rated a five-star prospect by 247Sports.

Chris Booker

The state’s top senior offensive line prospect, the 6-4, 285-pound Booker is a dominating presence on Hapeville Charter’s offensive line. The Alabama commit has quickly climbed recruiting boards since the summer. He provides positional versatility at the next level and is a major piece of a Hapeville team looking to make a deep playoff run.

Terrious Favors

Carver-Atlanta’s star athlete, Favors is one of the most dynamic players in the state. Standing 5-9, he is a bit undersized, but his athleticism is unmatched. Holding offers from schools like UGA and Georgia Tech, he has decided to stick with his commitment to his first offer, Boise State. He is one of the major reasons Carver has started 9-0 this season and is once again looking like a state title contender.

Jaiden Thompson

Rockmart’s star offensive lineman is helping the Yellow Jackets to one of the best seasons in school history. Thompson anchors the line of scrimmage and is growing into one of the top linemen in the Class of 2027. He already holds numerous offers, and when he commits, he is expected to jump up the rankings and quickly become a four-star recruit.

Kingston Brown

The other star lineman at Carver, Brown is one of the most physically gifted sophomores in the country. The 6-3, 265-pound defensive lineman possesses uncommon athleticism for someone his age. He already holds multiple major FBS offers and will only continue to grow, both physically and as a player.
