Hebron Christian has dominated Class A-3A Private this season, defeating many of the top teams and not losing a game in the state of Georgia. The Lions (8-1) have beaten both top-seeded Fellowship Christian, 45-29, and region rival, No. 7 seed Prince Avenue Christian, 43-6. However, both could be a threat to the Lions if faced again.

The Paladins of Fellowship Christian have dominated their schedule outside of their loss to Hebron. The Paladins are led by running back CJ Givers and quarterback Jonathan Granby. The duo has rushed for over 1,600 yards and 24 touchdowns on the season. They are winning by an average of 30 points per game and have dominated defensively. Outside of the one game against Hebron, they have given up no more than 21 points in any contest. They dominated Region 5-Class A Division I, winning every game by at least 24 points. All of that earned them the No. 1 seed in the playoffs. They are able to avoid Hebron Christian until the state finals, if both teams make it that far. A rematch may see them use the experience gained both during the season and in the loss to fuel a revenge-game victory.

Prince Avenue Christian and Hebron Christian have a history of playing each other twice in one season. The two programs faced off last year for both the Region 8-2A championship and the state championship game. Last year, Prince Avenue won the first matchup, and Hebron won the second to claim the championship. Could something similar happen this year? Hebron won the final game of the regular season and the region title in dominant fashion 43-6, handing the Wolverines their worst loss since 2017, and their worst regular-season loss since 2009. However, Prince Avenue is looking for revenge. This year, they would meet in the quarterfinals, a round Prince Avenue has advanced past for 13 straight years.
