Class A-DI Blog: Northeast-Macon taking it 'one game at a time' entering playoffs

The eleventh week of the Georgia High School football season is here, with teams playing with streaks to protect and goals to secure as the playoffs loom.

Teams this week are focusing on cutting down the mistakes and zoning in on their situational plays. The regular season is ending for teams this week and playoffs are the next goal in line.

Worth County has held onto its No. 1 spot for many weeks as they have been holding this spot strongly. The Rams (10-0,6-0) have been playing with great defense and an impeccable offense. They won last week against Jeff Davis 26-14 to end off their regular season schedule. They will be a strong team to look out for this playoff season.

Toombs County is also applying strong pressure at No. 2, they handled Vidalia 56-16 in last Friday’s matchup. They are hosting Savannah Christian (6-3,3-0) this Friday in a Region 3-DI matchup. Toombs County is looking to keep their tempo up while protecting their spot at the top.

Northeast is keeping their streak alive with stacked wins in Region 2-DI matchups. The Raiders beat Dodge County 33-14 last week. They are hosting East Laurens this Friday for a Region 2-DI matchup. Northeast head coach Jeremy Wiggins wants to end the regular season on a high note, heading into the postseason.
