Kell has been one of the best teams in the state of Georgia in the 21st century. However, a state championship has continuously avoided the Longhorns. Kell comes into 2025 looking to end that streak with arguably its best team since the school introduced football in 2003.

Mascot: Longhorns

County: Cobb

Head Coach: Bobby May (2022-2025)

Coach’s School Record: 26-9

Coach’s Overall Record: 67-27

2024 Record: 7-5

2024 Region Rank: 2nd

2024 Playoff Finish: Second Round (L 42-35, Creekside)

Overall School Record: 176-79 (2003-present)

State Championships: N/A

Key Returning Offensive Starters: Moonie Gipson (RB), Kaleb Narcisse (QB), Caleb Wise (OL), Brayden Rouse (TE)

Key Returning Defensive Starters: Jalen Williams (CB), Tony Forney (S), Brayden Rouse (LB), Michael Domanik (LB), Alexander Jean (DL)

Key Newcomers: Nathan Agyemang (TE), Jowell Combay (DB)

Offensive Formation: Spread

Defensive Formation: 4-3

School Enrollment: 1,582

Kell is coming off its least amount of wins in the May era, but that is not to say the team was not one of its best. The Longhorns dealt with a few injuries, most notably to running back Moonie Gipson who missed a few games. Kell ended up going 7-5 after a 6-4 regular season, and made it out of the first round after a 49-31 win over Hiram before falling to Creekside in the second round.

Kell’s offense averaged nearly 33 points per game last season. The Longhorns return starting quarterback Kaleb Narcisse in 2025 who threw for 2,168 yards last season. They also return starting running back Gipson who still ran for over 1,500 yards despite dealing with an injury. The Longhorns lost both of their two leading receivers from last season, but 2027 receivers Donnie Grant and Brock Burrus will likely take big steps in their junior seasons. They will also receive additional force from transfer tight end Nathan Agyemang.

On the other side of the ball, Kell has arguably the best linebacker core in the state. At the helm of that is 4-star Brayden Rouse, who had 111 total tackles last season. Kell also returns Michael Domanik and will welcome back Jaziah Owens-Massey from injury. Its secondary consists of returnering starters Jalen Williams and Tony Forney Jr. as well as newcomer Jowell Combay who transfers in from Harrison. Underclassmen Carlos Beuman and Kamoni Adams will also likely get increased roles this season. Finally, Kell returns rising senior defensive lineman Alexander Jean after getting 4.0 sacks last season.
