Head coach B.J. Jamison has been leading Therrell ever since the 2021 season, and across his four years with the Panthers has led the team to two winning records in addition to back-to-back playoff appearances (2023-24), the first time the program has achieved that feat. The Panthers have not won a region title since the 1996 season, but will have plenty of returning talent in hopes to capitalize on their recent success. In 2023, Therrell’s nine wins were the most by the program since winning 10 in 1979, but there are signs that the Panthers are ready to take the next steps towards becoming a formidable opponent.

Therrell is looking to have a bounce-back season under head coach B.J. Jamison who has guided the Panthers to two-consecutive playoff appearances. Despite a losing record in 2024, Therrell overcame a tough region and clinched a playoff spot. The Panthers will lose a good portion of their key contributors from their playoff team from 2024 after all-region selections Cedric Jordan, Quentorian McClendon, Ahmad Bridges, and Che Davis all graduated.
Key offensive playmakers returning for Therell are Antwon Young and Jayden Williams, both of whom were impactful and were all-region honorable mentions last season. Young and Williams are a great tandem and are tough to slow down when they get going. With a new quarterback at the helm, the signal calling job should be easier with versatile playmakers on the outside that are capable of exploding for a big play whenever they touch the ball.
Defensively, the Panthers will bring a good amount of their starters from a season ago. Boston Carr will be a key member on the defensive side of the ball and was an all-region selection a year ago. Other returning players are Deandre Bell and Justin Glee, both second-team all-region selections. This season, the key to success could lie in the defense, which will have a strong veteran presence and leaders who should steer the team to a winning record.
