Carrollton quarterback Julian Lewis announced his commitment Tuesday morning to the USC Trojansgiving the program the top-rated Class of 2026 passer in the state as a headliner in future classes. Lewis burst to the scene last seasonleading Carrollton to a 14-1 finish and shattering the state championship record for passing yards with a 500-yard effort. Lewis opened the season with a last-second loss to Class 6A No. 1 ranked Hughes and will be featured on the Drive to the GHSA State Title broadcast a week from Friday as the Trojans take on the Rome Wolves. That game will be aired live from Rome on Sept. 1.
