Despite a much-needed state-wide bye week before playoffs, the Georgia recruiting scene has not slowed down. Two notable players have backed off their commitments this week.

Earlier this week, Carver-Columbus three-star WR/DB Kei’Mourii Miles decommitted from North Carolina. It was a rather surprising decommitment as he has been recruiting other athletes to join him at UNC. The 6-foot-3 senior holds 18 offers including in-state programs like Georgia and Georgia Tech. Miles leads his team in receiving. Before shifting his focus to finalizing his recruitment, his undefeated Carver-Columbus squad will take on Redan in the first-round of the playoffs.

The other notable decommitment came as Lithonia three-star DL Tico Crittendon backed off his pledge to Florida State. The 6-foot-4 285-pounder holds nearly 40 offers. Nebraska and Colorado offered Crittendon after the decommitment. He originally chose FSU over Tennessee, Texas Tech, and Georgia. Those programs will again have a chance to land Crittendon, a top 50 player in Georgia. He has compiled 51 tackles and 14 TFLs this year. Crittendon and Lithonia take on Griffin in the first round of the playoffs.
