It will be a full night of celebration of the past and the present at North DeKalb Stadium this Friday night as the Dunwoody Wildcats  and the Chamblee Bulldogs face off in the 2025 edition of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Game as a part of the ‘Drive for the GHSA State Title' series.

Friday’s matchup will be broadcast live on Atlanta News First (Channel 46) and the Peachtree Sports Network (cable and YouTube TV), and streamed live on the Atlanta News First app. From your home, download the free ANF+ app anywhere you stream — FireTV, AppleTV, Roku and YouTube TV — simply by searching for “Atlanta News First” on those platforms. Both Dunwoody and Chamblee have a 3-2 record in Region 4-5A so far this season as the two programs are tied for third place in the region with Decatur as well.

This year's battle of the DeKalb County schools is the 28th meeting between the Wildcats and the Bulldogs as Dunwoody holds a 15-12 record over Chamblee with the Wildcats winning the last two matchups under the late Michael Nash while leading the program.

Dunwoody head coach Matthew Schmitz leads the Wildcats in his first season as a head coach, serving as the team's offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the last three seasons before being promoted to head coach. Before his time at Dunwoody, Schmitz held various positions at the college level as he served as the recruiting coordinator, running backs coach and pass game coordinator at Tennessee Tech, a quality control coach at UAB and as a quarterbacks coach at the US Merchant Marine Academy.

The Wildcats offense is powered by senior running back Cameron Irastorza who has been one of the most effective playmakers for the Wildcats this season with 758 yards on the ground on 106 carries with eight rushing touchdowns. Irastorza has been a massive part of the offense, totaling 122 all-purpose yards per game.

Junior quarterback Jack Quartararo leads an offense that is averaging around 23 points per game so far this season and will have to play a clean game on Friday as Chamblee has allowed 13 points combined in its last two games. Quartararo has accounted for 806 yards through the air and five passing touchdowns this season along with an impressive 67% completion percentage.

Quartararo spreads the ball around to his pass catchers on a weekly basis with an upperclassmen-led receiving core as junior Bradley Stephens and seniors Jaden Gabriel and Koi Young have combined for 701 receiving yards and five touchdowns through the air on 52 receptions.

Like the receiving core, the Dunwoody defense is mostly upperclassmen led. Senior’s David Remigailo and Jake Greenfield lead the team with 55 total tackles a piece so far this season. In the backend of the Wildcat defense, senior defensive back Declan Gallagher has recorded 32 total tackles on the season to go along with five tackles for loss and three pass deflections.

Chamblee is led by head coach Bob Swank who is currently in his fifth season leading the Bulldogs. Swank has compiled a 26-24 record so far at the helm of the Chamblee football program and is seeking the team's first playoff appearance since the 2023 season.

The Bulldogs are currently on a two-game win streak following back-to-back victories over Lakeside (Atlanta) and Tri-Cities before switching their focus to this week's matchup against Dunwoody.

Sophomore quarterback Brayden Doss has recorded 983 passing yards and 12 passing touchdowns so far this season and has also made himself effective on the ground with 290 yards on the ground on 34 carries.

Doss along with senior running back Zeke Corrado have been the two most-effective rushers for the Bulldogs this season as Corrado has totaled 253 yards and three touchdowns so far this season.

In the passing game, the Bulldogs have four wideouts with over 150 yards on the season and two receivers with over 200 yards as well. Edward Reed leads the team with 277 receiving yards and 24 receptions while finding the endzone three times. Winston Jones has also certified himself as a playmaker with 200 receiving yards and three touchdowns on just six receptions this year, showing his big-play ability. Sophomore Jazz Lewis and Corrado have also proved to be effective pass catchers as Lewis has totaled 154 yards on 17 receptions while Corrado totals 12 receptions for 187 yards.

On defense, the Bulldogs have three players with over 70 tackles this season as the trio of seniors in Brock Ryan, Jacob Hawkins and William Tate have combined for 218 tackles. Tate and Hawkins lead the Bulldogs in tackles for loss as Tate has recorded 14 and Hawkins has 13.

This week’s game will feature exciting interviews with Georgia High School Football Hall of Famers throughout the broadcast as they will be honored all throughout the night. The fourth class of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame will be inducted at the College Football Hall of Fame this Saturday, adding to one of Georgia's fastest growing football traditions.
