Inductees of the 2025 Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame were in attendance for this year's edition of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Game's fourth-annual 'Hall of Fame game' and Bradley Stephens put on a show for all to enjoy. The Dunwoody junior running back had four touchdowns to lead the Wildcats in their 34-7 upending of Chamblee.
“This is real football here,” said 2025 Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Inductee Harris Barton, who played for Dunwoody before winning three Super Bowls on the San Francisco 49ers offensive line. “There are two seasons in Georgia: football season and spring football season. Everything I learned in high school about football; I took right into the pros and right into college.”
The Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame ceremony will be held Saturday at the College Football Hall of Fame in downtown Atlanta. The induction ceremony will be broadcast at 6:30 p.m. on Atlanta New First and the Peachtree Sports Network. Follow the link to see the 2025 Induction Class.
The victory against Chamblee was Dunwoody's third win in a row, as well as a third-straight against their Region 4-AAAAA rival.
“It’s totally an honor being here at Chamblee High School,” added 49ers teammate and fellow inductee Steve Wallace, who was a Bulldog before his pro days. “For most linemen, you never get inducted for anything. The only thing they know you for is holding.”
Dunwoody owned the trenches throughout the night, setting up a four-touchdown showing from Stephens. Senior kicker Christian Lee also completed a pair of long field goals for the Wildcats.
“I want to give a shoutout to the o-line,” emphasized Stephens, who earned the Robbie Hunter MVP Award. “They were definitely blocking really well, and it all starts with them. They were making all the holes, and I was just hitting them.”
Barton and Wallace will be inducted alongside Georgia High School Football greats like Walt Frazier (Howard, 1962), Cam Newton (Westlake, 2006), Isaiah Crowell (Carver-Columbus, 2010), Josh Nesbitt (Greene County, 2006), Kirby Smart (Bainbridge, 1993), Robert Edwards (Washington County, 1992), Sterling Sharpe (Glennville, 1982) and Lindsay Scott (Wayne County, 1977).
“This one was fun,” shared head coach Chamblee Matthew Schmitz after the win. “We’ve just gotta keep on going. Everything we want is right in front of us. We’ve got a big one next week, so we’ll enjoy this one tonight and get back to work tomorrow.”
