Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Game: Friday night, Dunwoody takes on Chamblee in the 2025 edition of the Georgia High School Football Hall of Fame Game as a part of the ‘Drive for the GHSA State Title' series. One recruit to watch in this game is Chamblee quarterback Brayden Doss. Doss leads the Bulldogs in passing and rushing. He has accounted for 15 total touchdowns as a dual-threat prospect. At 6-foot and 180 pounds, Doss’ tape resembles Georgia Tech quarterback Haynes King. Doss shows his athleticism and willingness to use his legs while still being efficient as a passer. In February, Doss received his first offer from Sacramento State.
Flips, commitments, and decommitments:
The big flip of the week came as 2026 three-star Valdosta edge rusher Corey Howard backed off his pledge to Georgia and joined the fold for the Alabama Crimson Tide. At 6-6 and 260 pounds, Howard will bring prototypical size, speed, and strength to Tuscaloosa. Howards leads his team in QB hurries.
South Florida suffered a crucial decommitment as Westlake CB Syncere Berry reopened his recruitment. Despite being a three-star, Berry has garnered 47 offers, including Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Nebraska, Tennessee, and Texas A&M. At 6-2, Berry has great size and verified measurements. He runs sub-11 in the 100m and sub-4.5 in the 40. Berry pairs his speed and athleticism with great ball skills and tackling, making for a potential late riser in the 2026 recruiting cycle. Berry has also picked up offers from Appalachian State and Liberty just in the last 24 hours.
Georgia Southern picked up an in-state commitment as Douglas County LB Richard Dyce committed on Tuesday. Dyce, Douglas County’s leading tackler, has led his team to a 6-2 record, undefeated in Region 2-6A.
In the 2027 Class, Troup County RB Javarris Warner committed to Cincinnati. Warner has over 600 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground as the lead back for the undefeated Troup County Tigers.
One notable underclassmen commitment took place over the weekend. Asa Wall (2028 TE) made his pledge to Georgia. Wall is a legacy product as his father, J.T. Wall, played fullback for the Bulldogs in the early 2000’s. Asa is a Milledgeville native and is playing his prep career at John Milledge Academy. Wall is a do-it-all player for the 8-1 Trojans as he leads the team in receiving, touchdowns, tackles, and sacks.
