The GHSA Executive Director Robin Hines flipped a coin Monday to determine where same-seeded teams will play in the quarterfinal of the GHSA football playoffs.

The quarterfinals is the first round where same-seeded teams could meet and in that occurrence, the GHSA's flip decided that the team on the top of the bracket will be the host program. Assuming the No. 1 seeds win, that would send Walton to Carrollton in the state's highest class, Thomas County Central to Rome and Gainesville to Woodward in Class 6A, and Cedar Grove to Mary Persons in 3A.
