Jairus Washington, a class of 2026 corner back, has announced that he will transfer from Hebron Christian to Buford.
Washington helped lead Hebron to a private classification State Championship last season.
Washington is excited for the upcoming season with Buford as they look towards winning another state championship.
“I’m looking forward towards an exciting year, and being able to compete with great teammates,” he told Score Atlanta’s Wesley Powell. “Lord-willing (we win) a state championship with my teammates. And personally I want to play a great season, and be able to glorify God’s name through my play."
Washington joins a stacked defensive back room that includes a load of division one players.
Washington totaled 14 tackles in seven games last season.
In 2025, the Wolves will play in a lot of big time matchups, but Washington is up to the challenge.
“I am looking forward to all of the games, just ready to compete in all of them.”
Washington holds one offer from Limestone.
Buford will open its 2025 season against Milton on ESPN.
