Keelan Wonsley Will Be A Player To Watch In 2028 Class

Keelan Wonsley made quite a name for himself during his middle school days and looks like the next great player to come through the Milton pipeline. His freshman year, he didnt play a lot of varsity football.
But his sophomore year will be one to watch.
Wonsley is an explosive playmaker when he gets the ball in his hands and one of those rare players who is capable of taking it for a touchdown whenever he touches it. On defense, he has impeccable ball skills and
The best game of my high school career was when we played Cambridge and I had six tackles, two interceptions returned for a touchdown, and one pass breakup," said Wonsley.
He recently participated in the Born to Compete and Georgia Elite Classic showcase events that do a great job of highlighting the talent we have in the peach state. In the Georgia Elite Classic as an eighth grader, he caught the game-winning touchdown to lift his team to victory.

Wonsley is looking to make an impact on both sides of the ball and be one of those rare athletes that is elite on offense and defense. Milton head coach Ben Reaves is one of the best in the state and it will be interesting if he lets Wonsley play both ways for the Eagles. Milton always has elite players on both ends of the field so it will be a storyline to watch. This year he made playswhen the opportunities presented themselves.
Some parts of my game that stand out are, Im very versatile and I have great hands and I can make people miss In the open field. With most of the team being seniors last year, I am ready to take a bigger role next year and become one of the guys to make plays and lead. I am trying to play both sides of the ball, said Wonsley.
In the offseason, he is looking to do a hybrid training schedule sharpening his craft on both sides of the ball. Wonsley wants to become a great catcher of the football and plans to put his hands to the test and get them stronger in the offseason. He also is looking to get bigger, faster, and stronger in the process.
Im going to work on my craft both on offense and defense, get my hands stronger and put on about 7-10 pounds in muscle,"said Wonsley."It means a lot to me to get this attention. It means Im doing something right, but I cant let the attention get all to my head. I have to keep my head down and work."
Some colleges have taken notice of Wonsley and are beginning to show interest early on. A notable one is a hometown program here in the peach state.
UNLV took a liking to me," said Wonsley. "Georgia Tech in the summer, liked me from their camp. They were going to follow me throughout my high school career.
So who does he like to watch on gridiron, when he has free time and isnt training? There are a number of players he loves to study, and he takes different parts of their game and adds them to his.
I have a variety of players that I watch, but if I had to choose some of them would be Julio Jones, Travis Hunter, Justin Jefferson, Patrick Surtain," he said. "My ultimate goal in football is to make it to the NFL."
He possesses explosive ability to hurt defenses in the open field and has a cut ability that allows him to freeze defenders coupled with speed that allows him to outrun everybody.
One thing is for sure: He will be a fun player to watch for the Eagles.
Wonsley is just getting started in his prep career after a great middle school career. It will be intriguing to see how big of a part of the Milton offense he is as a sophomore.
