Lowndes 2027 QB Jayce Johnson announces final five schools

Jayce Johnson is listed as the No. 2 quarterback in the 2027 class per On3 and will announce his commitment on August 3rd. His final five schools are Texas A&M, Tennessee, Mississippi State, South Carolina, and Florida State.
Johnson had a solid sophomore season for the Vikings, throwing for 16 touchdowns and 1,799 yards on 123 completions. He has a quick release when he gets excellent protection from the offensive line and likes to let it fly deep down the field.
Johnson is also a factor in the run game with his quick mobility and elusiveness from running the ball up the middle. He rushed for 318 yards on 79 carries and scored three touchdowns on the ground.
He has a big junior season ahead of him under third year head coach Adam Carter as the Vikings look to build momentum off of their 10-2 record from last season and go further in the playoffs.
