In Class 6A, No. 4 Douglas County defeated No. 10 Newton 27-21. Neither team moved after the result and No. 3 Carrollton survived a 28-21 battle with Rome. In 5A, the second half of the rankings saw some major changes. Sequoyah jumped from No. 8 to No. 6 after its dominant victory over Kell. At the bottom of the rankings, Newnan replaced Rome after a 3-0 start and three dominant offensive performances. Rome fell out of the rankings after its second loss of the season, this one against Carrollton.

Class 4A shifted with Kell falling all the way from No. 4 to No. 10 after its loss to Sequoyah and Cartersville replaced the Longhorns at No. 4 from its previous No. 5.

3A saw some movement after North Hall’s big win over Cherokee Bluff, allowing the Trojans to jump LaGrange to No. 6. Oconee County fell out of the rankings after a loss to Morgan County, and Westover replaced the Warriors after a strong start to the season.

Class A Division I had no changes to the rankings after Week 2. On the other hand, Class A Division II saw chaos for yet another week. At the top, Metter lost to Swainsboro, dropping the Tigers to No. 6. Brooks County fell from No. 4 to No. 10 after losing to Cook. Irwin County and Trion dropped out of the rankings and were replaced by Seminole County and Hawkinsville.
