In Class 6A, North Cobb was the only team in the top 10 that had a bye this week. No. 1 Grayson cruised to 7-0 with a 41-0 win over Heritage-Conyers, No. 2 Buford topped Collins Hill 34-3, No. 3 Carrollton defeated Westlake 48-9 and No. 4 Douglas County defeated East Coweta 42-10 in its Region 2 opener. At No. 5, McEachern ran away with a 48-21 road win over an unbeaten Harrison team. No. 6 North Gwinnett snapped Peachtree Ridge’s five-game win-streak with a 45-14 victory and moved to 6-1—resulting in its sixth-straight victory since its loss to No. 4 Douglas County to open the season. No. 7 Lowndes defeated Tift County 35-0. Valdosta fell 18-17 on the road to Colquitt County and did not move in the poll, but Colquitt County replaced North Cobb at No. 10 after the victory and returned to the poll. North Cobb was off this week and will play Marietta next week. North Cobb’s previous losses to Cass (35-27) and McEachern (21-0) were stacked up next to Colquitt County’s two losses to North Gwinnett (21-7) and Lowndes (31-14) and the Packers got the nod.

Class 5A saw no changes as all 10 teams won this past week. In Class 4A, Blessed Trinity fell from No. 5 to No. 10 after its 3-0 loss to Kell and the Longhorns used that win to return to the poll at No. 9.

Much like 5A in Class 3A, all the ranked teams won on Friday night, resulting in no changes in the rankings. Class 2A changed with Thomson replacing Cook at No. 9.

In Class A-Division I, northeast fell from No. 3 to No. 5 after losing 14-13 to new No. 10 Bleckley County. In addition, Swainsboro dropped to No. 7 after losing 47-20 to Toombs County.

In Class A-Division II, Metter returns to the Rankings at No. 10, replacing Hawkinsville after the Red Devils’ second-straight loss (28-23, Wilcox County). The Class A-3A Private poll saw Whitefield Academy replace Wesleyan and debut at No. 10.
