In Class 7A, the poll did not shift for the first time this season and that was largely due to all of Gwinnett County being off this past week for fall break and No. 1 ranked Walton rallying to defeat North Cobb 35-27 to maintain its perfect season and improve to 6-0. The Class 6A poll also remains the same as No. 1 Gainesville was off on a bye and each of the seven ranked programs that were active this week all earned victories.

In Class 5A, Kell moved up to No. 3 after a 59-0 win over Northview that improved the Longhorns to 5-1. Kells only loss was to Class 7A Parkview in the season opener and quarterback Bryce Clavon is back in action after his stint with the US National Baseball Team. Clavon was 10-of-14 for 217 yards and three touchdowns in Kells win over Northview and eight different players accounted for Kells eight touchdowns. In Class 4A, Stockbridge moved up to No. 6 after its 48-0 win over Lovett.

Despite a 13-9 loss to Alabamas Carver, Cedar Grove remains atop Class 3A with a 2-5 record. Calvary Day, Stephens County, Mary Persons and Savannah Christian round the top 5. In Class 2A, Thomson leads with Northeast-Macon, Toombs County, Appling County and Pierce County in the top 5.

In Class A Division I, Prince Avenue leads Swainsboro, Rabun County, Trion and Elbert County in the top 5. In Class A Division II, Schley County tops Manchester, Greene County, Macon County and Bowdon in the top 5.
