Week 8 Baseball Rankings

In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Etowah swept Walton and improved to 20-1 while winning its 12th-straight game. Walton slid from No. 2 to No. 5 after its three-straight losses to Etowah and North Gwinnett moved up to No. 2. North Gwinnett has won 13-straight games and is followed in the poll by Lowndes and Parkview. Tift County replaced Carrollton in the poll after sweeping Richmond Hill in Region 1 and Carrollton getting swept by East Coweta. Loganville moved up to No. 3 in Class 5A after stamping a 13-1 win over Parkview. Lassiter fell from No. 6 to No. 10 in Class 5A after getting swept by River Ridge.

In Class 4A, Allatoona moved up to No. 2 from No. 4 and Ola replaced Starrs Mill in the poll. Class 3A experienced major shifts with North Hall taking over No. 2. Franklin County moved up to No. 3 in Class 2A and Washington County debuted at No. 10 in Class A Div. I. In Class A Div. II, Lanier County, Charlton County and Irwin County all improved to 13-2 in Region 2 play over the weekend and headline the poll with No. 1 Lanier County, No. 2 Charlton County and No. 4 Irwin County.
