Benedictine's' Class of 2026 defensive lineman Kameron Cody announced his commitment to head coach Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers.

Cody is rated as a three-star recruit on 247Sports.com and is a top-60 ranked player in the state of Georgia for the Class of 2026.

The 6-foot-2, 285-pound defensive linemen held offers from major college football programs across the country such as Tennessee, Georgia Tech, LSU, Miami and Indiana before announcing his commitment to the Clemson Tigers last Saturday night.

In his junior season a year ago, Cody made a huge impact on the Cadets front-seven looks to continue to wreak havoc in 2025. Last season, the 3-star defensive linemen was tied for second on the team in total tackles with 89 on the season to go along with 11 tackles for loss as well as averaging just over seven tackles a game for the Cadets.

Cody was tied for second on the team in tackles with Miami-commit edge rusher Herbert Scroggins III as the two became a lot to handle for opposing offensive lines.

The Benedictine defensive linemen is the thirteenth commitment for the Clemson Tigers in the programs Class of 2026 recruiting class and is the first defensive linemen to commit to the Tigers during the 2026 recruiting cycle.

The Tigers have been hot on the recruiting trail, bringing in the No. 2 recruiting class so far in 2026.

During his freshman season at Benedictine, Cody had an incident during practice where he stopped breathing on the sidelines where the school's trainers had to perform CPR and used defibrillators to shock Cody three times to get him stable. For almost 40 minutes the defensive linemen was unable to breath as he was being taken to a hospital.

With the help of doctors and the resiliency from Cody himself, the defensive linemen has come back stronger and has earned himself a full scholarship at one of the most prestigious college football programs in the country.

Next season, Cody will be teamed up with one of the top players in the Class of 2027 edge rusher LaDamion Guyton as he is joining the Cadets after transferring over from Savannah Christian during the off season.
