Former Marist War Eagles star defensive back and Atlanta-native Kyle Hamilton and the Baltimore Ravens have agreed on a record-breaking extension worth $100 million over four years that makes him the highest-paid safety in NFL history.
Hamilton was selected by Baltimore with the 14th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame, and has been as productive as they come from the safety position in his young NFL career.
As he enters his fourth season in the NFL, Hamilton has accumulated various accolades such as a first team All-Pro selection in 2023, a second team All-Pro selection in 2024 and two Pro Bowl nods in 2023 and 2024, already having a very decorated career in just three seasons playing in the NFL.
In 48 games played in his career, Hamilton has started in 36 of them and has established himself as one of the most valuable defensive players in the NFL with his combination of size and speed making him a huge asset to the Baltimore defense.
Hamilton has accumulated 250 total tackles, 27 pass deflections, 18 tackles for loss, five interceptions, an interception for a touchdown, and four forced fumbles and counting as he has had a remarkable young career thus far.
The defensive back also had a decorated career at Notre Dame as well, being a part of multiple All-American teams as well as a semifinalist for the Jim Thorpe Award while also becoming a finalist for the Bednarik Award.
While at Marist, Hamilton was named as a AJC Super 11 player in 2018 and accumulated 75 total tackles and six interceptions during his career with the War Eagles while playing two seasons on the varsity roster under head coach Alan Chadwick.
Hamilton is now paired with former Jefferson Dragon and Georgia high school football standout, Malaki Starks as the two make for one of the best young defensive back tandems in the sport.
