Lowndes, East Coweta, Hillgrove and Etowah have already clinched region titles and will be No. 1 seeds in the upcoming Class 6A baseball state playoffs and the rest of the classification will crown its other four region champions this week. In Region 4, Grayson has two games left against Archer and the Rams can clinch the region title by winning either of the two matchups. Archer, which dropped the opener to the Rams can force a tie-breaker with back-to-back wins that would give them the edge for the top seed. Region 6 is the most complicated region heading into this week. Currently, West Forsyth is in control of its own destiny and can clinch the top seed with its two games this week against Forsyth Centralwhich currently sits at No. 2 in the region. Denmark, North Atlanta and South Forsyth are all three at eight losses heading into this week. Denmark lost a 9-2 game to last-place Alpharetta and will have two games against the Raiders to regain its footing in the playoff race. Denmark previously lost 2-of-3 to West Forsyth and South Forsyth, but won the head-to-head with Forsyth Central. North Atlanta has two games left against South Forsyth and was able to win Game 1 9-8.

In Region 7, North Gwinnett and Parkview split their head-to-head and so the results will come down to whether or not Parkview is able to sweep rival Brookwood this week and whether or not North Gwinnett can close out strong with wins over Peachtree Ridgewhich they will face on Tuesday and Thursday. If Parkview and North Gwinnett both win their final two region games, then they will both be 13-1 and there would be a complete tie-breaker. The Region 8 championship comes down to Bufords final two games against Dacula. If the Wolves can win their two final games or if Mill Creek drops one of its final two games against Collins Hill, then Buford will be able to easily hold on to the top seed in Region 8.
