Worth County remains undefeated at 7-0 this season, with three region wins and four shutouts. The Rams face Berrien away this Friday, giving Berrien home field advantage.

Coach Hammond has been leading this team since 2022; he coached them during their region championship victory in 2024. Hammond has kept the structure consistent and steady throughout his time at the helm at Worth County.

“It is a focus on what we do, we have to prepare and make sure we are taking care of what we need to take care of.” said Hammond. “Berrien is well coached and plays very hard.”

Other games to focus on in the coming weeks.

-- No. 2-ranked Thomasville, led by head coach Johnathan DeLay since 2022, enters this week with (5-2, 2-1) record. They hold a 2-1 record in region play and are looking for another victory this weekend. The Bulldogs are playing against No. 9 Fitzgerald this Friday and hope to maintain their balance on both sides of the ball. Fitzgerald is a well-versed team and is known for having sharp game strategies.

-- No. 3-ranked Rabun County (7-0, 3-0, Region 8) carries a steady physical momentum into its Friday home region matchup against Oglethorpe County (2-4, 0-2, Region 8). The Wildcats seek to maintain their position in the season in region play because they won their last three region games. The Oglethorpe County Eagles seek their first region victory this season.

-- No. 4-ranked Toombs County (6-1,1-0) coached by Buddy Martin has kept their season strong. The Bulldogs have kept their opponents on their toes. They are playing Savannah Country Day at home on Oct. 17.
