The Class A-DI playoffs are officially here, after a crazy regular season. As we dive into the postseason next week, there are going to be many top-tier matchups to watch and analyze as the GHSA football season comes to a close.

Worth County (10-0, 6-0) remains unbeaten and has won back-to-back region championships for the first time since 1986 and 1987. The Rams host McNair (3-7, 2-4) in the first round next Friday.

Coach Jeff Hammond has been coaching the Rams since 2022, and his past three seasons there he has had two region championship seasons back to back 2024 and 2025.

“Clean up some of our mistakes, and find an edge to keep us fighting this next week in the playoffs” said Hammond.

Toombs County (9-1, 4-0) welcomes Temple (5-5, 1-5) to the first round without frills as it begins its hunt for back-to-back state championships at home on November 14th against Temple. The Bulldogs enter onto the field riding a nine-game win-streak and recording perfection in the region, a combination ideal for another postseason home outing.

Meanwhile, Heard County (10-0, 6-0) hosts East Laurens (3-7, 3-6) in Franklin upon Nov. 14 in the playoffs' first round. The Braves completed an undefeated season from start to finish in the regular season and will use the same plan in November: if they keep winning the line of scrimmage, finish drives, and make the first round routine, they will be in good position.

Division 1 first round schedule -- November 14th
