Score Atlanta has increased its footprint and introduced groundbreaking events and coverage at an unrelenting pace throughout its 22-plus year history as a company, and this week marks the latest prime occasion for the Score team with the hiring of Georgia Chambers to serve as the company’s first-ever full-time on-air host. Originally from Omaha, Neb., Chambers developed a passion for journalism and pursued her dream at the University of Georgia—where she graduated from the prestigious Grady School of Journalism while also receiving her Sports Media Certificate. Her first job after college landed her in Huntsville, Ala. where she served as the weekend sports anchor and digital reporter. She covered the University of Alabama and Auburn during that time and gained invaluable experience covering the NCAA National Championship and March Madness Tournaments among countless other events. More recently, Chambers spent the last two seasons in Atlanta with Fox 5 where she showcased her production and on-air talent covering the Atlanta Falcons.
“I think Georgia is a super-young talent that along with Craig Sager Jr. will be able to take our daily “Georgia High School Sports Daily” show to the next level,” said Score Atlanta President I.J. Rosenberg. “She will play a big role in all of our high school television and digital programming. Georgia has developed a strong reporting background and with Craig’s experience will give us the opportunity to do a lot across all sports. You are going to see a lot of her.”
The debut of the Peachtree Sports Network (PSN) in October of 2023 and the completion of Score Atlanta’s state-of-the-art studio in Roswell this past September opened up the opportunity for an experienced on-air talent like Chambers to join the Score Atlanta team and provide wall-to-wall high school sports coverage this season. When taking into account the studio and its full range of abilities, combining that with the television component and reach that comes with the Peachtree Sports Network, plus Score Atlanta’s website/digital side, the hiring of Chambers as an exclusive on-air host demonstrates how unique and absolutely groundbreaking Score Atlanta’s high school sports platform is. The stage for Chambers will be even bigger come Aug. 16 when Atlanta News First (WANF) will once again become an independent television station for the first time since 1994, with all four of Saturday’s Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic games being broadcast live on Channel 46 as the station continues to establish itself as the go-to-channel for Georgia high school sports coverage.
Chambers will also be working with Kaylee Mansell this season during all of the broadcasted games—including the 2025 Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic and the weekly Drive for the State Title series with new pregame and postgame shows. Score Atlanta’s Craig Sager Jr., Max Wolborsky and Hayden Gilbert will also have roles this upcoming season and the booth will once again feature the dynamic duo of DawgNation’s Brandon Adams and On3’s Rusty Mansell calling the games. Each game of the season, beginning with the four Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic matchups on Saturday, Aug. 16, will be broadcast live on both PSN and WANF as the Score Atlanta team solidifies itself as the premier provider of Georgia high school sports broadcasts and news.
