Week 9 Softball Rankings

The GHSA regular season ends Thursday where teams will begin to prepare for the GHSA Fast Pitch Playoff brackets which will fill the Fast Pitch Tournament brackets at the Columbus Softball Complex in Columbus. The playoffs begin on Monday, October 13 and teams will travel to Columbus on Oct. 29-Nov. 1.

Buford tops Class 6A with East Coweta, Carrollton, North Forsyth and North Gwinnett in the top 5. Loganville leads Creekview, Effingham County, South Effingham and Lassiter in the Class 5A top 5. In Class 4A, Eastside leads Harris County, Cartersville, Cambridge and Kell.

Jefferson is the team to beat in Class 3A and leads West Laurens, LaFayette, Harlem and North Hall. Cook tops Class 2A and leads Appling County, Pierce County, Morgan County and Pike County. Gordon Lee is at the top of Class A-Division I and is leading Banks County, Bacon County, Social Circle and Elbert County.

Irwin County tops Class A-Division II with Lanier County, Emanuel County, Taylor County and Marion County in the top 5. Mount Vernon leads Wesleyan, Prince Avenue, Hebron Christian and Trinity Christian in the Class 1A-3A Private top 5.
