In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Alpharetta won its 26th-straight victory and improved to 32-1. No. 2 Buford defeated No. 7 Norcross 3-1 on Oct. 2—leaving the rankings intact. The Class 5A poll did not shift, but there is a massive showdown with No. 2 Woodward Academy and no. 3 McIntosh at Woodward Academy Tuesday night. The two schools have split their previous two matchups. The Class 4A poll moved with Midtown jumping up from No. 9 to No. 6 this week—the highest that the Grey Knights have been ranked this season.
In Class 3A, No. 3 ranked Oconee County scored a 2-1 win over No. 4 Richmond Academy on Oct. 2. The Class 2A poll did not shit this week and Pepperell moved up to No. 8 this week in Class A.
