As the regular season comes to a close this week, and with the playoffs in the near future, these players have continued to perform at a high level late into the season.

With many players performing at a high level this season, there is only a select few that can be leading each offensive category heading into the final regular season matchups, including Dalton quarterback Caine Woods who leads the classification in passing yards, Cass running back Kalil Charles who leads in rushing yards and four-star Cambridge wide receiver and Georgia-commit, Craig Dandridge who leads the classification in receiving yards.

As a sophomore this season, Woods has been airing the ball out all over the field as he has accounted for 2,378 yards through the air, 23 passing touchdowns on a 68% completion percentage, averaging 264 passing yards per game.

Woods and Dalton won its final game of the regular season yesterday with a shutout victory over Woodland (Cartersville), 49-0. While the Catamounts only won three games this season, there were plenty of bright spots in head coach Chris Prewett’s first season at the helm of the Dalton football program, with Woods being one of the main pieces to the team in the future.

For Cass this season, the Colonels finished the regular season 8-2 as they are set to host their first playoff game in quite some time with the help of their explosive offense with Charles becoming a huge piece of it this season.

In his sophomore season, Charles finished the regular season atop of the Class 4A rushing yards leader board with 1,536 yards on the season, providing a consistent and reliable rushing attack for the Colonels offense.

Charles has posted wild stat lines this season consisting of over 200 and 300 rushing yard performances including a 312-yard performance against Dalton in which he scored two touchdowns and a 298-rushing yard performance against Allatoona a week ago.

With eight wins on the season, Charles has been a huge part of the success and a big part of the reason as to why the Colonels have their highest win total since the 1983 season.

One of, if not the top receiver in all of Class 4A this season in Cambridge’s Dandridge has been nothing short of sensational for the Bears in his senior season. Under second year head coach Tyler Jones, the Bears offense has been electric this season, with the four-star Georgia-commit playing a massive role in their success.

Dandridge leads the classification in receiving yards with 979 on the season on 48 receptions to go along with 14 receiving touchdowns, averaging 109 yards per game and over 20 yards per catch. Dandridge has made highlight reel plays throughout the season and has become one of the top receiving targets in not only the classification, but the state as well. Dandridge is rated as a top-150 player in the nation and a top-20 player in the state of Georgia in the Class of 2026 recruiting cycle.
