Five programs crowned at GHSA Esports Championships Cartersville

Lambert, Trinity Christian, Lowndes, Northview and Commerce walked away with state championships at the GHSA Fall Esports season came to an end at the Bartow County Schools Esports Arena in Cartersville Saturday.

Commerce secured the program’s first-ever Esports state championship with a victory in the Class 1A-2A Smash championship.

Lambert secured the League of Legends championship to mark the program’s seventh championship. The Longhorns won the League of Legends title in Spring 2019, Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 as well as the Rocket League titles in Fall 2020 and Spring 2021.

Trinity Christian’s Mario Kart 8 title was the program’s second after winning the same event in Fall 2023. Lowndes captured the program’s second title with the Smash (5A-6A) championship to go with the Mario Kart 8 title in Fall 2024.

Northview’ victory in the Smash (3A-4A) championship was the team’s second Esports title after winning League of Legends in Fall 2021.
