North Forsyth gymnastics is on a roll with less than a month until the GHSA preliminary meet. The Raiders are currently the top-ranked team in the 5A-6A classification.
The team is coming off its third straight Forsyth County championship. The Raiders star gymnast, Logan Ottenson, finally won the all-around title after earning bronze in her first two county meets. She dominated the events with a score of 38.225, winning the bars and floor events and placing second in the vault. Her teammate, Ansley Ferguson, tied for first place on the beam, giving North Forsyth a top-two finisher in every event.
Outside of North Forsyth, Forsyth Centrals Katie Andrews had a standout performance, placing in three events. She finished second in the all-around and placed in the vault, bars, and floor events. That allowed the Bulldogs to secure second place in the team standings. South Forsyth rounded out the top three, with gymnast Ziyan Williams dominating the vault and placing third on the bars. East Forsyths Katelynne Tatum completed the top three in the all-around standings, finishing with a strong score of 37.650.
