McEachern has continued where it left off after last season’s first-ever state championship in the state’s then-highest Division 4, before reclassifying to the new-look Division 5 this season. The Indians opened the year with a 13-0 victory against Pace Academy in the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Flag Classic Monday.

Junior quarterback Ava George was 12-of-17 passing for 95 yards while junior Ava Couzens was 6-of-12 passing for 50 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 22 yards and a touchdown. Senior Exxence Hubbard has the touchdown reception for the Indians, a 17-yarder.
