In Class 6A, No. 1 ranked Etowah improved to 7-0 and No. 2 Walton did not shift after a 6-2 start that included a loss to Class 5A No. 2 Pope and splitting a series with Creekview. North Gwinnett moved up to No. 6 after a 3-0 start and bumped two-time defending state champion Lowndes down to No. 7 after the Vikings 3-3 start. In Class 5A, Winder-Barrow shook up the poll with a 4-0 start that includes a pair of top 10 victories over Cherokee Bluff (5-3, 8-7) and Greenbrier (12-8, 2-0). Former No. 3 Newnan lost three-straight after a 4-0 start and slid to No. 5. Dunwoody climbed from No. 8 to No. 4.

In Class 4A, Wayne County (6-1) replaced Westminster at No. 10 after the Wildcats dropped out of the poll following a tough 0-2 start. Class 3A No. 1 Harlem improved to 5-0 with a 44-8 scoring advantage over the course of its first five games. No. 2 Cherokee Bluff split its first two games with No. 9 Dawson County and Pickens moved up from No. 5 to No. 3 following a 6-0 start.

Morgan County moved all the way from No. 6 to No. 1 this week in Class 2A following a 5-0 start. The Bulldogs have now picked up wins over Eastside (2-0), Hart County (10-0), Jefferson (9-5), LaGrange (3-1) and West Laurens (10-0) resulting in a 34-6 advantage in runs. Model replaced Dublin at No. 10 in Class A Div. I. Charlton County used a 3-0 start to take over No. 1 in Class A Div. II and Lanier County slid slightly to No. 2 following a 2-2 start and Irwin County debuted at No. 8. Savannah Christian moved up to No. 6 in Class A-3A Private
