It’s another exciting week of action around one of the most competitive high school football classifications in the state of Georgia as Class 4A continues to bring the excitement week after week.

This week, it's more of the same as we have another great slate in store around the state.

In Roswell, Kell and the star-studded Longhorns travel to Blessed Trinity to take on the Titans in both teams first regional matchup of the season. This one will be a close one to watch as all eyes will be on the high-powered Kell offense featuring 4-star running back Moonie Gipson and ATH Brayden Rouse against the new No. 1 over player in the Class of 2027 according to 247Sports.com updated player rankings, edge rusher DJ Jacobs along with his brother Dawson and the talented Blessed Trinity defense.

Kell’s Gipson has been one of the best running backs in the state thus far this season, totaling 831 yards on the ground and 10 rushing touchdowns with four games accounting for over 100 rushing yards. As a pass catcher, Gipson has been just as effective with 160 receiving yards on just six catches, finding the endzone two times through the air.

Both Kell and Blessed Trinity are both 4-2 on the season and are seeking to get regional play started off on the right foot with a victory tonight.

In the only ranked matchup in Class 4A, the No. 3-ranked  Cartersville Purple Hurricanes travel to Cass to take on the No. 10-ranked Colonels as both football programs are undefeated in Region 7-4A play this season.

Cass participated in the Corky Kell + Dave Hunter Classic in its first game of the season against LaGrange and lost 27-7 in what was a rough outing for the Colonels offense.

Since the loss against the Grangers, Cass has been on a tear rattling off six-consecutive wins including victories over Model, Adairsville, North Cobb and three region victories over Hiram, Cedartown and Woodland-Cartersville where they are averaging just over 44 points per game over its last six games.  The Cass offense, led by Mississippi State quarterback commit

However, as great as the Colonels have been in their last couple games, they will be running into their biggest test of the season against undefeated Cartersville before heading on their bye week next week.

The stifling Purple Hurricanes defense, led by 4-star senior Cole Crawford has let up just 76 points this season as they are matching up with an offense that has been on a tear as of late.

The Cartersville offense is also filled with playmakers all around including 4-star Georgia-commit wide receiver Brady Marchese who has continued to produce for the Purple Hurricanes this season.

Marchese has totaled 19 receptions for 375 yards and four touchdowns so far this season after missing two games this season.

Quarterback Nate Russell has also had an excellent season leading the Purple Hurricanes offense with 1,087 passing yards and 15 passing touchdowns, while also making himself effective by playing clean football- not registering a turnover so far on the season.

What's going on around Class 4A?

1. North Oconee: vs Madison County (North Oconee has let up just 19 points through six games this season.)

2. Creekside: vs Pace Academy (Creekside has outscored its last three opponents 195-0.)

3. Cartersville: @ Cass (Cartersville leads the all-time series against Cass 46-5.)

4. Benedictine: vs Warner Robins (Benedictine is on a three-game win-streak after losing its first two games of the season.)
