The Blessed Trinity Titans played in Class 4A for the first time since 2019 and had a phenomenal season in their second year under veteran head coach Ed Dudley. Last year marked their fifth trip to the semifinals in the last eight years after two straight seasons of not making it to that point.
The Titans offense consistently performed well throughout last season, averaging about 27 points per game. They scored at least 20 points in every game except for when they faced Milton and North Oconee.
Blessed Trinity returns a ton of key weapons on offense. Senior quarterback Brooks Goodman aims to carry on his success from last year after throwing for 1,668 yards on 133 completions and throwing 14 touchdown passes.
The ground game consists of a dynamic duo in Ahmontae Pitts and Mj Craft. Pitts had 1,145 yards on 264 carries and scored 14 touchdowns while Craft took a big stride his freshman year, recording 334 yards on 72 carries with two touchdowns.
The receiving corps has a pair of players looking to have breakout performances this season. Quinn Davis totaled 532 yards on 46 receptions and caught four touchdown passes. Cole James put up 35 yards on four receptions while scoring two touchdowns in the air.
The Titans defense was solid last year especially on the defensive line and linebacker group, which has some key returning players for 2025. DJ Jacobs collected 116 total tackles, 31 tackles for loss, and 11 sacks. Lucas Smalls-Allen tallied 69 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and 10 sacks. Caden Dawson had 57 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, two sacks, and two interceptions. Dawson Jacobs recorded 53 total tackles, 13 tackles for loss, and five sacks. In the secondary, Ryder Register will have to step into the role that Marcelous Townsend played last year. Townsend had seven interceptions last year while Register looks to improve on his junior year performance that involved him getting three interceptions.
It will not be easy for Blessed Trinity to repeat as Region 6-4A champions as teams like Kell and Cambridge will challenge them for that accomplishment this year. Looking at their schedule, they have some very tough non-region opponents this season like Prince Avenue Christian, Milton, and Hebron Christian. Those three games will be back-to-back-to-back for the Titans with Prince Avenue on August 29, Milton on September 12, and Hebron on September 19.
Their 2025 campaign begins with a home game against Tri-Cities on August 15 as they go for their fourth state championship in the last nine years.
